Promise of Spring Exhibition

August 10, 2017

10th August – 10th September 2017

Internationally acclaimed artist Francesca Gnagnarella is excited to be collaborating with Seven Willow Designs for her upcoming exhibition and to showcase her latest series of works in their beautiful Mount Lawley interior design studio.

Each painting will be styled in a recreated home-like scenario rather than hanging up against traditional white cube gallery walls.

For the artist art completely ties a room together and becomes the visual focal point which can elevate a room significantly. The right selection of art can make a property feel more complete and elegant.

This new body of works is inspired by the new life, energy and green growth that comes with the beginning of Spring.

In this series of works the artist represents the glowing light that makes Winter days’ harsh reflection dissipate, leaving a warm glow and gradual romance lingering in the lightly hued skies.  Gnagnarella explains “It is my experience to find in the landscape that brilliant light and to recreate the luminous sensation of much-needed Spring energy onto canvas, to recognize beauty and to love what is beautiful.”

‘Promise of Spring’ is the first artwork that the artist has created for this new exhibition which also gives the show its name.

Home is like a museum of oneself, and we are all artists in our own way, arranging each corner of our homes to tell a story about our personality, habits, tastes and beliefs. Together with Seven Willow Designs we are committed to giving homes a deeper meaning beyond being merely a habitat and enriching the quality and individuality of life with art.

‘Promise of Spring’ launches on Thursday 10th August, 6-8pm

RSVP sevenwillowdesigns@gmail.com

The exhibitions will run until 10th September.

Business Lunch with with GUCCI President and CEO Marco Bizzarri

April 12, 2017
GUCCI revival

He's the towering, immaculately tailored visionary who has taken luxe label Gucci to glamorous new heights.

Marco Bizzarri was handpicked by Kering chairman Francois-Henri Pinault to reinvigorate the once foundering mega-brand in 2015. And in just two years, he has restored the lustre to historic, gilt-edged Gucci, making it the easily most illustrious and coveted luxury brand on the planet.

A sharp-suited maverick, Bizzarri has reinvented the brand as a modern, dynamic creature with a focus on digital and social media and a contemporary, playful look — but with horsebit-loafered feet still firmly planted in a proud, almost 100-year-old Florentine history.

When Bizzarri took over the reins he immediately set about rejuvenating a brand that had lost a little of its fabulousness. Last June he set an audacious target of six billion euro revenue in the medium-to-long term. Gucci has dramatically increased its market share and become the freshly-polished jewel in the Kering crown — February's annual results showed a remarkable 12.7 per cent growth in straitened economic times.

Bizzarri, who was named the International Business Leader of the Year at the British Fashion Council's Fashion Awards 2016, prides himself on encouraging a vibrant, nurturing workplace that promotes a culture of empowerment, education, respect and inclusivity.  The fitness fanatic and family man is also evangelical about the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Join this exciting, charismatic and decisive innovator for lunch and find out how his willingness to take risks, his business nous and his hands-on management style easily translate from Italian high fashion to WA industry. BOOK HERE

December 20, 2016

Only current Members of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia - Perth are entitled to attend the meeting. RSVP Please to office@icci.asn.au

Dear ICCI Member,

a Special General Meeting has been convened for Tuesday 2oth of December at l'Antica, 390 South Terrace in Fremantle.

The SGM will address a clause in the Constitution that needs to be considered as we move forward to an exciting year ahead.

Currently, section 7.7 of the Constitution, states that only individual members will be entitled to hold any office in the Chamber.

To enable our Corporate and Life members to also be eligible to nominate and vote the motion to be forward by the Committee is as follows:

"ICCI members approve the redrafting of section 7.7 to reflect that nominees of a Corporate membership, Life members and individual members shall be entitled to hold any office in the Chamber"

There will be no other agenda items at the SGM.

In concluding the ICCI in 2017 will focus its vision on strengthening and growing trade business links with Italy. The current committee has identified specific opportunities based in members input, that will enhance benefits to the members whilst also addressing the financial sustainability of the ICCI into the future.

Your participation at the SGM will contribute to that vision.

With the mandate for greater urban density in the Perth metropolitan area, many have taken the opportunity to embark on development projects and the tax consequences attaching to these projects are not straightforward. The development projects may include:
• One-off projects - Subdivision of the main residence - Building multiple units on vacant land
• Larger projects - Subdivision of land - Sale of a large number of lots
The participants in these development projects often ignore the tax implications, with the mistaken belief that exemptions may apply. This can often result in significant tax liabilities. This session will help you identify the income tax, GST and stamp duty issues that you need to be aware of when considering both small and large development projects.

Leading Italian companies such as Salini-Inpregilo, Ansaldo STS, Eni, Rizzani de Eccher, GE Pignone  and Saipem have been present in Australia for many years and have worked on major infrastructure projects.  In the last 5 years in WA alone, Italian companies have won tenders to the value of  $4 billion. Currently Italian companies are active in major public infrastructure projects such as Salini-Impregilo’s involvement in the Sydney North West rail project.

In addition, there are many Italians or second generation Italians such as the keynote speaker for Australia at the Rome event Mark Barnaba Chairman of Macquarie Group WA and Global Head of Resources in senior business roles in Australia. Many infrastructure companies such as Transfield and Monadelphous were initially started by Italians.

We have the participation for the 2016 event from banks and financiers of infrastructure projects, The Australian Embassy in Italy, the Italian Embassy in Australia, the Italian Trade Mission ICE, Austrade and Confindustria.
