Aperitivo+ with PENELOPE GREEN Report
Prosecco, Campari and fine finger food was in abundance as journalist and author Penelope Green spoke of la vita in Italy – specifically in Rome, Naples and Procida – at ICCI’s latest Aperitivo+ cocktail evening.
Sponsored by Di Lusso Firenze, European Foods and Northline Travel, the evening drew a large crowd and was attended by the Italian Consul, Giorgio Taborri, ICCI president Massimo Perotti and Secretary General Marco Mari.
Green has written three books about Italy: the 2005 bestseller "When In Rome", "See Naples and Die" and the upcoming "Girl By Sea". Now based in Perth, she writes freelance for magazines including Australian Gourmet Traveller, Madison and Marie Claire.
The event was held in Claremont at Di Lusso Firenze, which specialises in products made by the finest Italian craftsmen in hand made leather, paper products and quality writing instruments. Dymocks Claremont were also present, kindly providing copies of Green’s books for purchase.
